What's been going on this week?

BTD Battles received the 6.4 update today which is live now on iOS, Google Play and Steam! This included a new map, as well as a bunch of balance changes.

We don’t have plans for it at the moment as, depending on the map, everyone could want the same spot! But yes we are thinking actively about more editor functions.
What is inside a cash injection?

Is there genuinely no news at all about the future of the website? We've heard for months now that you've been "looking into it", and this is after years of knowing it was coming. Is anyone actually actively working on a solution? If so, which one? Even if you really are still only at the stage of thinking about it, at least let us know which options are being considered more seriously? I don't think this is asked about on every blog because people keep missing the answer, rather because people have dedicated years to their saves and achievements here and feel like a little more interaction is deserved. Even if you can't follow through on it for whatever reason, which I know is driving the fear of talking about it, the loss would be so much more acceptable if we had followed your journey, rather than you trying to convince us afterwards that someone did indeed try to do something. This isn't some highly anticipated update, which you're more than welcome to be secretive about if you want, it's a whole social issue with more on the line.
Ninja Kiwi’s business is making games. Games that we love to make and play and that enough other people love to play so that the business keeps going, our team remains happily employed, and our new ideas can turn into games. Ninja Kiwi’s core business was flash games when Chris and Stephen started and when I joined, and we are proud to have created 100+ flash games, a website that stood up to competition, and some games that have managed to break out of the crowd. Ninja Kiwi’s core business is no longer flash games, and we would be doing a disservice to our team and our players if we spent too much of our time trying to support the website or the future of flash games. We would like to preserve them and keep them playable as long as possible. Right now, they continue to be playable even though every year one browser or another has made it more difficult. When it is finally and truly impossible to play them on any widely distributed browser, then we will talk with others in a similar situation like Kongregate, Armor, and Miniclip and we’ll look into our own wrapper. But to be clear about your questions - we have been thinking a lot about what we might do, but we haven’t put coders on it and we don’t know what functionality might be lost. In terms of player wants, we know we want to keep the Bloons and Bloons TD games accessible, and keep Battles, SAS4, and Monkey City playable with friends. We hope you can understand us being reactive rather than proactive on flash game preservation, when our creative and team energy is focused on a whole set of unannounced games - games that we trust will carry on the legacy of the flash games but on platforms and technologies that can keep Ninja Kiwi making games. Why are ceramics now slowable by glue in BTD6? Did the bloons swap to cheaper ceramic shells? Did Gluology advance to ceramic sticking materials? Or was it something else?
Our glue technology has advanced tremendously. There were rumors that Bloons had switched to more form fitting polyceramics but Dr. Monkey is sure that it’s all him.
Is there a way we can donate Monkey Money to fund research? If there is, can I donate 1k?

Why does the BAD use band aids when it's damaged? Surely the bloons are smart enough to use better materials to hold themselves together if they can use fortification.

Could challenges possibly get objectives other than simply beating X round? (such as placing a Glue Storm, or preventing all MOABS from having children)
Is there anything new or updated information regarding SAS:5? It's VERY hard for me to come to terms with the fact that flash games as we once knew is almost coming to an end, and I understand that even if SAS5 were to come out itd likely be on a different platform (SAS4 had a mobile version and it still sucks that it won't be getting any big updates anymore). Is SAS:5 a real thing being planned? If it is at what stage is it at and what would be a reasonable release date, if at all, can we expect? I've seen this being asked by a few just as curious individuals but I've never seen a straight answer.
