As some of you have noticed, there's been a lack of blog posts these last couple of weeks. While I can't begin to explain the exact reasons for things, some server changes/movements meant the old Blog Post Editor(tm) was not working.
I've got a new one now though, so things should be back on track.
This week's update is on a Thursday (for me, Wednesday for a lot of you) because we have a public holiday tomorrow. The holiday in question is called Anzac Day and it is a day on which everyone (read: a few people) get up really early to pay their respects while others pay their respects somewhat differently.
This won't affect our scheduled broadcasting and you shouldn't notice any difference on your end.
Bloons TD 5 Mobile
The biggest news over this time has been the BTD5 Mobile update that introduced Impoppable Mode.
Impoppable Mode is a new difficulty level above Hard. You'll be fighting against faster and stronger bloons with more expensive towers and upgrades and only a single life. You will need to bring extra fire-power with you if you hope to earn that fancy new medal to pin to the board.
Version 2.8 with Impoppable Mode is out now on iOS and Android, so grab your phone or tablet and get the latest version now!
SAS: Zombie Assault 4
The "closed" beta for SAS 4 has been going well. With your help we have been able to polish and balance the game in preparation for release it to the general Ninja Kiwi population. As I type, staging account data is being wiped and we enter into what may be a final phase of testing before SAS: Zombie Assault 4 is put up on the Ninja Kiwi for all to play.
Bloons TD Battles Web
Beginning the weekend before last, BTD Battles has had a shaky time in regards to its servers. After seeing them go down several times over a single day, a new server version was put up to fix a possible bug. That update caused havok with the Quick Battle matchmaking. Instead of giving up after a while and matching you with anyone, the game would not stop trying to find a close match to your Battlescore and win/loss ratio.
We've been making alterations to get that in line, and today we uploaded what should hopefully be a fix for everyone getting disconnected on the search screen or not finding matches. If you are still having trouble finding games, let us know on the forums or comments below so we know to keep working on them.
The server upgrade mentioned a while ago still doesn't have an updated time-frame

Will Impoppable Mode come to other versions of BTD5 besides iOS and Android?
We plan on bringing Impoppable Mode over from the mobile versions at some point in the future. Current development time at the NK HQ (non-mobile BTD stuff) is limited however, so you'll still have to wait a little while if you don't have BTD5 on a portable device.
Are you planning on improving this site in any way?
Yes! There's a lot of changes and new stuff planned for the site, particularly with the layout of the forums, commenting/posting system and general accessibility of what players want to do when they visit ninjakiwi.com after a hard day. Of all these things, the forums are the next thing you'll see changed on the site.
How many admins and moderators are there on this website?
There are 11 NK members with the Moderator tag next to their name. There are potentially 50 Admins, though the majority of NK staff never post so they are not technically considered administrators by the site. Of the admins who do post, you're probably looking at about five, though more have posted, and only a few post regularly.
Are you working on anything other than SAS4 at this current date?
So much other stuff.
Is there ever going to be Clan Challenge related to Bloons Tower Defense Battles?
While we rarely say never, a BTD Battles Clan Challenge is unlikely.
Is there a chance that you bring back the Super Rewards offers page?
Same as above. It's very unlikely that we'll bring back the NK Coin Offers.
When are changes to the Honor/MvM system coming? Could you possibly change the Attack Run achievement?
The changes will come with the next Bloons Monkey City feature update, but when that will be is still up in the air. The next update has involved a lot of changes that require them to all be finished before we can update which is why there's been a big wait for a BMC update. Some aspects, such as the Honor changes, don't need a lot of time spent on them, but in order to bring everything out together they are held back.
We generally prefer not to specificy when things will happen, as it's common for things to take longer than expected, but the MvM/Honor changes are still coming.
At the moment we have no plans to change the Attack Run achievement.
Will the level cap be increased in BMC?
The individual city level cap will stay at 40 (though remember, plans can easily change). Where the game mentions a level above 40 is a menu error/oversight and will be fixed.

i came across a hacker called THARIX can anybody disable his account it gets so annoying losing to a cheat

@mermaido125 it was being abused, thunderbolts clan was being changed to just because they had the most awesome points and it was becoming unfair.
On SAS4, Flash crashes on my computer before I load the map. Or an error will popup and I can't play!
Everything is becoming more unfair by the day. Impopable Mode only availble on a Phone, that's not fair, I don't own a mobile and can't afford to buy one. So why can't we have impopable mode online too? It's just not fair. (same case with bonus towers on BTD5).
Yeah, it turns to a wall of text when posting on the blog, which I don't really like.
I agree with you Elite, it's sorta aggravating, why display new posts on the right hand side in the forum when most people can't even access them because they're posted in a clan forum.
