Welcome, welcome, welcome. This week we had an update to SAS: Zombie Assault 4 introducing bug fixes and balance changes as we continue to work towards newer stuff for the very near future. We've also had a number of updates for a bunch of games going through testing. All in all, this means you didn't see a whole lot. We had lots of fun though, and that's all that counts right?
Clan Challenge
Zombies and Clan Challenges have met before, but never for SAS4. Next week we will have a Clan Challenge that does just that, so get ready to earn your Clan some Awesome Points and yourself some Marks of Honor. It will be a simple one that a lot of you will get just by playing normally. We put the clan requirements just a bit higher though, so with a bit of dedication you may all reach the amount of [redacted] that we'll ask of you.
Bloons Monkey City: Contested Territory
Bloons Monkey City will receive a "small" update soon to patch a few bugs, as well as modify how Contested Territory plays for some of you. We're happy with how it's playing at lower levels, but you few dedicated fans manage to outclass even the super-steep difficulty curve we put in last time. The changes will add to that curve, and also put a bit more pressure on you earlier in the game. Keep an eye out for that early next week.
Questions from the Comments:
I have lots of water in my Bloons Monkey City city. Will there be more boats/ways to use that water?
It is something we would like to address in future, but it's not something that is very high priority at the moment.
Will you allow us to have stuff like "Comedian" or "SAS4 Fanatic" with our usernames on the forums?
Like, titles that the user can set themselves?
Will there be any changes to SAS4 before it is out of beta?
There will be bazillions.
That store you mentioned, any chance the posters that were displayed months ago would make it in?
They certainly could. Maybe not at first, as we'll start out small and expand from there, but it's a possibility for the future.
Anything about the possible free skill reset?
No news there. If it does happen it will be closer to when the game comes out of beta. If we gave them out now, a lot of people might use them and then not have it when/if we change a skill again. Giving out a new one each time we make a change could lead to people expecting them to get another and then not getting one. Not the most disastrous of circumstances, but just giving one out once will be smoother.
How many game developers does it take to change a light bulb?
It's unlikely that the light bulb will ever get changed. Game developers learn to work with darkness (Bane would have the upper hand on them still), so it doesn't really impede their day to day actions. Because it's not causing too many problems it will probably be ignored for a while.
Aaron, what is the cure for when your socks are suffering from dehydration?
You find a breeding pair and make more. Sweaty feet no more!
How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?
What's going on today? I guess as much as it thought necessary. Maybe more if there was another wood chuck it was trying to impress.
...
And that's all, folks.
Aaron
About the new BMC update, it's really crazy. Why can't you get premium buildings with bloonstones?
A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
lol that 6th answer
lol :D
are you guys going to make a btd6?
will there be a bloons 3?
@frds How many nuns could a nunchuck chuck if a nunchuck could chuck nuns?
Can you add Portable Lakes/Pontoons to Monkey City to place Water Buildings on land and Land Buildings on Water? Also (@goldwing8), Other Special agents could be added in battle for Monkey Cities at the price of bloonstones.
You guys are awesome, I'm a big fan!
How much ground would a groundhog hog if a groundhog could hog ground?
